Exercise 1 - Understanding meaning
Distribution comes from the word distribute and can have different meanings.

One meaning of distribution is supplying something or giving something to people.

For example:

After the earthquake, distribution of free food and water began as quickly as possible.

Distribution is also a concept related to statistics - see Exercise 6.
