Exercise 1 - Understanding meaning
Exposure comes from the word expose which can have different meanings.

Exposure can mean the removal of a cover or revealing something that was covered up.

For example:

Because exposure to sun can damage your skin, you should use cream to protect your skin and wear a hat.

The newspapers exposed the bankers who earned lots of money even though they caused other people to lose their money.
