Exercise 1 - Understanding meaning
Guarantee means to promise something and to be responsible for that promise.

Guarantee can be used as a noun or a verb. In this exercise, guarantee is used as a verb.

For example:

Most big toy companies guarantee their toys. This means that they promise the toys will work well and will fix any problems for a period of time after you buy their toys.

Money does not guarantee happiness but it certainly helps!
