Exercise 4 - Language in use
Contradiction has different forms.

Contradiction is a noun which means that one idea is completely opposite to another idea.

Contradict is a verb. If I say something that is the opposite of something that you say, then I contradict you. If I contradict you now, then I am contradicting you. If I did it yesterday, then I contradicted you.

Contradictory is also an adjective. Two things that contradict each other are described as contradictory.
