fluctuations
Exercise 5 - Language in use
Fluctuations are changes in different directions. But sometimes things don’t change at all, or they change only in one direction. To understand fluctuations, you need to understand two other important ideas:

1. Stability:
Things stay the same.

2. Trend:
Things change, but in only one direction.

For example, if prices of houses keep getting higher and higher, then there is an upward trend in the price of houses.
