"I'm getting so absent-minded and forgetful. Sometimes in the middle of a sentence, I . . . "
This comment by comedian Milton Berle is true for many of us. Concentration can be a challenge for young and old alike. This exercise focuses on some techniques to help you improve your concentration while studying.
1. Find the best time of day to study and try to limit your studying hours to that time.
2. Find the learning environment that works best for you (silence, music, a chair, the floor).
3. If something is disturbing your concentration, decide on a time later that day to deal with it.
4. Plan your work, work your plan: Divide what you need to learn into smaller units, take a break after each unit.
