Exercise 4 - Language in use
A primary source is an original, firsthand description of an event, topic or place.
Examples of primary sources are letters, diaries, interviews and autobiographies.

A secondary source is a secondhand description of a person, event, topic or place that summarizes, interprets or analyses the primary source.

Examples of secondary sources are textbooks, newspapers, documentaries, encyclopedias and biographies.
