Exercise 5 - Language in use
There are two main types of data - quantitative data and qualitative data .

Quantitative data - information that can be counted or measured in numbers. Examples of quantitative data are scores on a test and the number of students that study English at university.

Qualitative data - information that is described in words instead of in numbers.
This information usually describes subjective things that cannot be measured in numbers, such as people’s opinions and feelings.

Both quantitative and qualitative data should be collected and analyzed to help us reach valid conclusions.
Decide whether the following types of data are quantitative data or qualitative data.

Drag and drop the answers into the table.
