Changing people's attitudes remains an important issue in today's society. However, there are a number of complex problems related to research on changing attitudes. As a result of these problems, central questions remain unanswered about effective ways of helping people adopt more positive attitudes towards themselves and others.
Research on Changing Attitudes
Research has shown that some of our attitudes are closely connected to our central beliefs and values and are highly resistant to change. Clearly, research on effective ways to change people's attitudes has important implications for both parents and educators. However, a number of complex issues related to research on attitude changes have not yet been resolved.
