Read the paragraph and answer the question below.
A risk factor is a variable that is linked to increased risks, such as increased risk of disease. Risk factors do not cause a disease. For example, being old does not cause flu, but old people are more at risk of catching flu. Risk factors for heart disease include being overweight, having high cholesterol and having high blood pressure. However, this does not mean that all people with these factors will suffer from heart disease.
