Exercise 5 - Language in use
This exercise focuses on words that go together with interpretation.

A 'literal interpretation' is an interpretation based on the exact meanings of the words.

'Open to interpretation' means that something can have many different interpretations.

An 'acceptable interpretation' is an interpretation that fits the context.

A 'symbolic interpretation' is when the meaning of a word goes beyond the literal meaning of the word. For example, a rose is a type of flower, but it can also be a symbol for love.
